Air Ambulance Charter in India

Air ambulance India enquiries reach KC Air when a patient needs to move between cities and a scheduled airline seat is not appropriate. We are an independent charter broker. We ask DGCA-approved NSOP operators whether a suitable aircraft, a stretcher fit and a medical escort can be arranged for that route and that date. We are not a hospital, we do not employ the flight doctor, and we do not operate the aircraft.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. A charter aircraft is not a road ambulance that launches on a siren. It needs a clinical brief, a sending plan, a receiving plan and operator confirmation. Flights remain subject to DGCA, weather, airport and crew constraints. Nothing on this page promises a departure time.

What the desk needs from the treating team

Send the origin and destination cities, the hospitals or airports involved, and how time-sensitive the move is. Ask the treating clinician for a short description of what the aircraft must support: stretcher, oxygen, a ventilator requirement, infectious precautions, or a medical escort. KC Air does not diagnose and does not rewrite a clinical note. We pass it to operators so they can say whether their aircraft and their medical partner can accept the mission.

Add the number of accompanying family members, their baggage, and any equipment that must travel with the patient. A standard passenger cabin is not an intensive-care bay. Not every jet or helicopter offered for charter can carry a stretcher or a medical team. If an operator cannot match the clinical requirement, we will say so rather than force a cabin that does not fit.

Domestic moves and international repatriation

Domestic city pairs are the most common request: a patient in a smaller city who needs a specialist centre, or a family that wants a controlled transfer instead of a long road journey. International medical repatriation is also requested. Those sectors need the operator's range and permissions, fit-to-fly paperwork, immigration formalities and a receiving facility that has accepted the patient. We confirm each of those case by case. We do not claim that every border or every hospital helipad is available.

Ground ambulances at each end are usually a separate arrangement unless an operator includes them. Tell us if you already have a hospital transfer booked, and the time it can reach the airport, so the aircraft plan is not built on a guess.

When a helicopter is the medical question

Shorter relocations, or a pickup where a runway is not the practical answer, sometimes point to a helicopter rather than a jet. The same rules apply. The operator must confirm the aircraft, the stretcher or seating arrangement, the pads at both ends, and the weather. See helicopter charter in India and helicopter charter Delhi for how rotary missions are briefed. A medical helicopter is not guaranteed, and a VIP helicopter page is not a promise of clinical equipment.

Privacy, documents and who decides

Clinical details are used to arrange the flight and are shared with the operator and the medical team who need them. Do not send more health information than the desk asks for. Identity documents still have to meet the operator and airport timeline, including for an accompanying relative.

The operator and the clinicians decide whether the patient can travel, on which aircraft, and with which escort. KC Air coordinates the brokerage. We do not override a doctor's no, and we do not invent a bed, a ventilator or a doctor on board to win the enquiry.

How medical charters are quoted

There is no package price for an air ambulance in India on this website. Medical configuration, positioning, escorts, ground handling and any international permission change the quote. The final price is confirmed in writing after checking availability with DGCA-approved operators. Keep updates — a change of hospital, a change of escort, a change of timing — in writing on email or WhatsApp so the operator is not working from an old brief.

Reach the charter desk

Email charter@kcair.in, call or WhatsApp +91 8512092494, or use the enquiry form. Include origin, destination, the clinical requirement in the doctor's words, and how soon the receiving hospital can accept the patient. For a non-medical jet from the same cities, see private jet hire Delhi and private jet charter Mumbai.

FAQ

Does KC Air operate the air ambulance?

No. We broker. The aircraft is operated by a DGCA-approved NSOP operator, and the medical escort is confirmed by that operator and the clinicians.

Is a doctor or a ventilator included?

Only if the operator confirms that equipment and those people for your mission. A passenger cabin is not automatically an intensive-care cabin.

Can you launch immediately in an emergency?

Call local emergency services first if someone is in immediate danger. A charter still needs a brief, a receiving plan and operator confirmation. We do not promise a departure time.

Do you arrange international medical repatriation?

We can enquire. Fit-to-fly documents, clearances and a receiving facility all have to be confirmed for that case.

Do you publish air ambulance prices?

No. The final price is confirmed in writing after checking availability with DGCA-approved operators.
